Why I Am Running

26 Years Local Resident
20+ Years School Council Service
TDSB Ward 10 Trustee Candidate

For the past 26 years, I have proudly called Beaches-East York and Scarborough Southwest home. My children attended local schools here, and for more than two decades I have been actively involved in the school communities that serve our neighbourhoods.

My journey began in 2003 as a volunteer at George Webster Elementary School. In 2006, I joined the School Council as Vice-Chair at Crescent Town Elementary School, beginning nearly two decades of school council involvement. Since then, I have served on elementary, middle, and secondary school councils, including leadership roles as Scarborough regional Vice-Chair of PIAC at TDSB and last year, as Co-Chair of Bloor Collegiate School Council.

These years of service have allowed me to work directly with parents, educators, and school communities to see firsthand the challenges they face—from student supports and school resources to facilities, communication, and opportunities for academic success.

My Commitment: I am running for TDSB Trustee, Ward 10 to bring this experience to the role, continue listening to our communities, advocate for the resources our schools need, and ensure the concerns of students, families, and educators across Ward 10 are heard.
